The Genesis: In 2000, Three-0-Two Entertainment and G-Man at the Elsmere Skating Center hosted the first Annual Adrenalin Skate Jam.

Friday night, the first night of Adrenalin was a very quaint but elegant dance party. Dress to impress was the request and skaters did just that and looked marvelous.

Then on Saturday night, "Pure Adrenalin" was the theme of the weekend. What is Pure Adrenalin? 5 hours of non-stop style skating, from fast to slow, power mix to the cool down, the music did not stop.

The pied piper Maestro Garry "GeeMan" made it happen and skaters from the east coast came to experience the Pure Adrenalin. There was so much adrenaline coming through his fingers, the music became part of your body.

In 2001, Three-0-Two Entertainment added three additional Dj's to the Wheels of Steel,
DJ Ed (NJ), DJ Mario (NY) and DJ Wiz (MD). How much adrenaline can one take?

Over the years, Garry "GeeMan" noticed there weren't any awards or honors recognizing the African American Style Skaters in America, this begat the Adrenalin Awards. In 2002, he sought the assistance of SkateGroove.com and the two joined forces to host the 3rd Annual Adrenalin Skate Jam Weekend. It was then the very first and only Adrenalin Award was presented to premier DJ Big Bob (NY) for his years of service and dedication to the skating community.

Then in 2003, the Adrenalin Awards and Skate Jam conceptually changed direction, which encompassed a formal sit-down dinner/award ceremony and skating event.   The Adrenalin is a "Skaters Choice" award, peer to peer nomination and vote; and has been said by skaters, "it's an honor just to be nominated".

The Awards committee was sure to establish a strict criteria honoring skaters nationally, essentially campaigning, soliciting and educating the community on how special this Award is for the Style skate community as well as the Skaters.

The Adrenalin Weekend included families and youth as the "Youth Invitational" gave opportunity for family, youth and teenagers to showcase there talent and skills on the hardwood.

Moving further in Adrenalin the Blizzard of 2003, forced a survey of the weekend which revealed that we needed to move the Adrenalin Awards Weekend. After careful review and discussion with other coordinators in the Style Skate community, the Adrenalin Awards weekend was moved to the first weekend of May, annually.

April 30-May 1, 2004 we sprung into a new season for the Adrenalin Awards and this proved to be the perfect fit. The nice spring weather added to the ambiance of the weekend, which spilled over into 2005.

In 2006, Adrenalin recognized that the hard work vendors put into styling the skaters, as we launched the 1st of its kind, "Vendors Expo". This offered time specific to the vendors, entrepreneurs and specialist within the Style Skate community. Well deserved time, because we all know shopping during skate time can be challenging.

Later that year Adrenalin partner, SkateGroove Entertainment decided it was moving in another direction and parted company with the business of Adrenalin. That same year the Adrenalin Awards and Skate Jam Weekend was postponed due to various occurrences.

Then in 2007 Three-0-Two Entertainment and Style Skaters Television Network teamed to host the new and revived Adrenalin Award and Style Skaters Weekend.

In 2008 keeping with the mission of networking and innovation, Hezekiah Barnett (NC) of "Skate Xpressions by Hez" was drafted to make the new and improved Adrenalin Award, even more special as it was hand crafted by a member of the Style Skating community. With this new working relationship, we knew Adrenalin was in for a upswing. New processes, new procedures,networking and now a new Adrenalin Award.   All for the you, the Style Skater!!!

Moving on, in 2009 Adrenalin Awards moved to the Washington DC Metropolitan area celebrating then, the 7th Annual Adrenalin Awards & Styles Skaters Weekend. The Nations Capitol is so very appropriate as it seemed 2009 was the "Year of Change".

And now, the Style Skaters Television Network is the official Host of the Adrenalin Awards & Style Skaters Weekend.

Two day weekend full of fun, elegance, networking and Pure Adrenalin. The Adrenalin Awards & Style Skaters Weekend, Style Sk8 Vendors Expo, Rolling on the Anacostia, Red & Black Carpet moments and "Pure Adrenalin" Skating. Can you take it?

Well, Skate Family and friends of...this is a weekend you should not miss. A time to show Skater Love at it's best, Honoring each other, striving for excellence, networking and as we all say "taking it to the next level".
